A twelve-mat studio
A small room above the chemist, twelve mats, and a teacher who knows your name by the second week. That is the whole idea.
The week
Every class is capped at twelve. It fills, but it also means nobody is doing a downward dog into a stranger's ankle.
New to yoga
People put this off for years because they think everyone else will be bendy and certain. In a twelve-mat room there is nowhere for that fiction to survive, and Foundations exists precisely so nobody has to guess.
Come in leggings and a t-shirt. Mats, blocks and straps are here. You do not need to be flexible, and nobody will look at you.
Prices
Illustrative figures on a demonstration site. A free first class costs a studio one mat space and removes the single biggest reason people never start — which is usually a better trade than any discount.
Pick any class on the timetable. If it is not for you, that is genuinely fine and nobody will chase you about it.
